My name is Alisha Mughal and I am a Toronto-based writer and journalist. I received my BA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2015. Since then, I have been writing fiction and creative non-fiction — much of this writing has appeared in literary magazines and journals all over the world. I attended Humber’s postgraduate Journalism program in 2019, and since graduating, I have served as contributing writer for Bay Street Bull Magazine and have written reviews and features for Exclaim! Magazine.
I love to write about intersectional feminism, women’s health, diversity (or lack thereof) in all manners of life and culture, and film and music, especially when it comes to their impact on every aspect of our lives. Welcome to my site — a home for the work I have done so far. Enjoy your stay!
